Back the Campaign: Save Colman’s and Britvic’s Factories

Norwich Conservatives and our local MP, Chloe Smith, are backing the Norwich Evening News and Eastern Daily Presscampaign to keep Colman’s and Britvic’s factories open in Norwich.

This could affect around 350 jobs – and take the historic Colman’s Mustard brand out of Norwich.

Employment rate at record high

Chloe Smith MP: Overall employment across the country had reached a record high. Naturally though, a number of constituents have asked me what type of jobs these are. In short, they are overwhelmingly full time, driven by the private sector and with wages rising faster than inflation.

Progress on Mousehold Lane Factory Site

In recent months a number of residents have brought to our attention the continued lack of development at the former Start Rite factory site on Mousehold Lane. We understand the negative impact this has, both on the tone of the local area, and on the property values of those living near it.
