Norwich Conservative federation were delighted to welcome Jacob Rees-Mogg and James Cartlidge, both on behalf of the Back Boris, and Has to be Hunt campaigns for the Conservative leadership election.

A packed room of over 180 party members grilled the representatives on their choices for the battle to be the next Prime Minister and faced questions on Brexit, on the future of the Conservative Party, the NHS, tax overhaul, and on how to increase Conservative votes amongst young people.

The event was a particular success due to the collaboration of the Norfolk Conservative federations working together to produce such a fine event, showcasing what the Conservative Party stands for both locally and nationally, and provided a fervent demonstration of the vision that both campaigns have for our great union. The unison of Norfolk Conservative federations would like to thank both the Back Boris and Has to be Hunt campaigns for working with us to deliver such a great event.

On behalf of everyone in the associations we look forward to receiving our ballot papers to elect the next Prime Minister of our country, and are excited by the prospect of having a dynamic new leader, committed to delivering Brexit, stewarding the economy, and bringing us continued electoral success.
