I have lived in and around the Norwich area for over 30 years. I worked at Norwich Union (now Aviva) from 1993 until 2009, the last few years working in a project management environment as a senior technician in a change delivery role, and for the last 12 months as a manager of a small IT team.
I have business qualifications in Japanese efficiency (Lean/Six Sigma) and project management (PRINCE2), and I have a BA Honours degree in Philosophy awarded by the University of East Anglia. I'm currently studying a part-time Masters degree in International Relations and European Studies.
I'm passionate about making public services as efficient as possible by improving outcomes and reducing costs in line with process improvement principles. I'm a member of the Norfolk Police Authority and was a member of the panel that interviewed for the current Chief Constable and his deputy
