The Conservative campaign against a controversial new charge to drive into the City has been backed by hundreds upon hundreds of local people from across Norwich.
Petition slips published in the last edition of the local Conservative newsletter have been flooding back to your local Conservative team and they are now compiling them before submitting the petition to the council.
Petition organisers Niki George, Niall Baxter & Barrie Jones said, “This is the most popular campaign we’ve ever run – and more people have signed this petition than even signed up against the mobile phone masts! People know that this is a new tax on motorists that will hit local people hard for wanting to drive into their own City. It will hit families and the elderly hardest. It is clear that our community opposes this plan and I will continue to work hard with Antony, Eve and John on this issue.”
